Where our food tastes the best – in our “stöa”

Our dishes are centred on homemade and local fare, prepared according to traditional recipes. This includes hearty meals such as a salad platter with rolls of our own bacon, cured in our speck cellar, various dumpling dishes, "schlutzer" (spinach and ricotta ravioli), "spaetzle" (soft egg noodles), barley soup with "tultres" (baked pastries with tasty fillings), and delicious meat dishes. And a sweet ending is a must – we rotate between apple strudel, "kaiserschmarrn" (shredded pancake), "strauben" (fried dough pastry), "buchteln" (sweet yeast buns), and more.

Carmen makes an effort to source fresh, local ingredients daily and bring them to your plate as a delicious tradition. Dinner is served in the traditional "stube" (parlour) – allowing our guests to get to know each other and round off the day in convivial company.

In our "stube," the "stöa", where time stands still, aromas and flavours unfold that no word can truly capture - but your tastebuds will recognise their true value. A culinary feast that cannot be described but instead is experienced and enjoyed with every bite, a holiday memory that lasts forever.

Culture

The people of Val Badia cultivate their culture and history, their rituals, traditions and customs. If the weather is not as nice as you would like, there are many places to visit here: museums, a cheese dairy, a hay bath and a distillery. Brunico, the little town and Val Pusteria pearl, is also not far away.
