Courage has been pushing and empowering people for thousands of years. Ask yourself: what would the world be like now if mankind had never tried anything new? Scarcely a mountain would have a path to its summit, many hiking areas would not have been developed. The history of alpinism shows us that courage is crucial.

Movement enriches us through the knowledge inherent in it. Endurance and concentration, effort and then the relief at the end that sport gives us, is reflected and inspires us in all other areas of our lives. When we do sport, we succeed better. So having the Dolomites of Marebbe close enough to touch makes the force of the adrenaline even greater – like a lightning strike that sears itself into your memory. You can wash the white dust of the Dolomite rocks off your fingers, but the way the beauty of these mountains touches you deep inside will never leave you.

Sport has two faces. Those who try new things will keep growing and push their own limits . Those who surpass themselves, in no matter what area of their lives, will constantly surprise themselves. Anyone who has experienced this knows that it makes...

Sport has two faces. Those who try new things will keep growing and push their own limits. Those who surpass themselves, in no matter what area of their lives, will constantly surprise themselves. Anyone who has experienced this knows that it makes you happy. The other side of the coin is that with the help of movement we strive for perfection. Those who do sport find that their thoughts gather momentum. We need a regular dose of challenge to keep our minds alert.

Piz da Peres

2,507 m

Marebbe’s local mountain is 2,507 m high and offers panoramic views and deep insights into the geological structure of the Dolomites and Val Badia. It is not all that difficult to climb, but you need plenty of stamina and sure-footedness. Once you reach the summit, the amazing landscape of fresh, green meadows spreads out beneath your feet. On the horizon you can see the famous Braies Dolomites. First the route passes through a sparse coniferous forest, then the path becomes steeper crossing white scree and rubble. For the return journey, you can choose another path that offers deep insights into narrow trenches with bizarre rock formations at close quarters. Those with enough stamina might consider conquering two summits in one day, as the Punta Tre Dita, which is green on one side and grey on the other, stands right alongside Piz da Peres.

Muntejela de Senes

2,787 m

This is the highest peak in the Senes region. On the way to its summit, at a lofty 2,787 m, you will be immersed in mystical and remarkable landscapes. If you have ever wondered why the people of Val Badia were able to invent so many stories and fairy tales about their land, a hike to the top of this mountain will give you the answer – and all without a word being said. It is a mountain with many different faces: on one side it is rocky and steep, while on the other there are many gentle hills in beautiful shades of green.

Piz Cunturines

3,064 m

Looking at it is a humbling experience. Its crosswise stripes of rock make it a king in terms of magnificence and beauty, a feeling that is only reinforced when you realise its height. At 3,064 m, it is the highest of the Fanes peaks, which are made up of many summits, including Piz Lavarela (3,055 m) and Piz dles Döres Forceles (2,948 m). A trip to its summit means a demanding but extremely fulfilling climb in the heart of the nature park that requires absolute sure-footedness and, of course, a climbing harness!
